Queen Silvia of Sweden was joined by her eight adorable grandchildren as they attended the annual receiving of Christmas trees in Stockholm today.
The wife of King Carl XVI Gustaf, 79, put on a festive display in a red check blazer as she received this year’s Christmas trees from the Forestry Academy in the Royal Palace and chose which spruces would be decorated and displayed.
She teamed her statement jacket with a white turtle neck jumper and black trousers, as well as a chunky gold necklace.
The Swedish Queen was joined at the annual event by her grandchildren, including Princess Estelle, 11, Prince Oscar, seven, Princess Leonore, nine, Prince Nicolas, eight, Princess Adrienne, five, Prince Alexander, seven, Prince Gabriel, five, and Prince Julian, two.
It appeared to be an evening of matching ensembles for the youngsters, with Princess Leonore and Princess Adrienne dressed in similar vibrant, patterned skirts, teamed with purple cardigans and pink tights.

Elsewhere, the children of Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia, sported matching red and navy cardigans, paired with blue trousers.
Navy appeared to be a theme for the night, with Prince Oscar also wearing an all-navy ensemble, while his sister Princess Estelle opted for a navy dress.
Prince Nicolas sported a blue jumper and green trousers when joining his siblings and cousins as they took a look at each of the trees, presented by the students, who were dressed in their traditional uniforms.

The students present the royals with a selection of Christmas trees which they will then choose from to have displayed in the royal palace in Stockholm. Since the late 1960s, SLU has presented Christmas trees to the household.
The Swedish royal family will release a Christmas message a few days ahead of the big day where they reflect on the year that’s gone and the one ahead.
On December 23, the family celebrates the birthday of Queen Silvia, who turns 80 this year.
Last month, Crown Princess Victoria, who is heir to the Swedish throne, and her husband Prince Daniel visited the UK to join the Prince and Princess of Wales at the Royal Variety Performance.
The show – which was broadcast on ITV last night – boasted a star-studded line-up, including performances from Cher, Hannah Waddingham and Beverly Knight.
