    Antonio Nusa reminder

Arsenal are eyeing Club Brugge star Antonio Nusa and will continue monitoring him in the coming months.

According to 90Min, however, the Gunners are facing stiff competition from London rivals Chelsea and Premier League foes Liverpool.

This comes after the winger opted against a move to the Blues during the summer transfer window.

That is despite the West Londoners tabling more than £25million, which is how much the Norway international costs.

The 18-year-old has also been monitored by Newcastle, Ajax, Borussia Dortmund, Lyon as well as Monaco.

    Gabriel injury latest

Arsenal ace Gabriel Magalhaes issued manager Mikel Arteta a major injury boost during the international break.

Gabriel finally made his international debut on Saturday as he helped the Selecao beat Bolivia 5-1 in their first 2026 World Cup qualifier.

However, the 25-year-old was subbed off after 84 minutes, taking a seat on the team’s bench and applying an ice pack to his thigh.

And according to reporter Charles Watts, the centre-back took part in Brazil training.

The Brazilian national team stated that scans on the thigh showed no sign of any injury.

Therefore, the Brazilian is expected to play again against Peru tonight.

    Gabriel fitness update

Mikel Arteta has been handed a fitness boost with Gabriel returning to training with Brazil on Sunday.

The defender had suffered an injury scare during his international debut a day earlier.

Gabriel was subbed off during Brazil's 5-1 win over Bolivia and was seen holding an ice pack on his thigh whilst sat on the bench.

However, the Gunners star is now back in training ahead of Wednesday's clash with Peru.

    Arsenal track Chelsea target

Arsenal are amongst the clubs tracking Club Brugge winger Antonio Nusa.

The 18-year-old turned down a £26million move to Chelsea in the closing days of the transfer window.

According to 90min, Arsenal and Liverpool are also keeping an eye on the teenager.

Nusa made his international debut for Norway on Saturday, scoring and providing an assist in a 6-0 friendly win over Jordan.

Saka wins August goal of the month

Bukayo Saka has won Arsenal's August goal of the month award.

The winger's opening weekend strike against Nottingham Forest was voted the winner by Gunners fans.

Saka's goal claimed 82 per cent of the votes to top the club's online poll.

Arsenal had been leading 1-0 when Saka found the top corner before going on to win 2-1 against Forest.

More on Arsenal's Champions League squad

Arsenal have released their 25-man A List squad for the Champions League group stage.

However, summer signing Jurrien Timber has been omitted from the Gunner's squad.

The Dutch defender is currently sidelined with a knee injury and will not return to action before the group stage ends in December.

If Arsenal progress to the knockout stages, Timber can be added to the updated list before the last 16.

Timber ruptured his cruciate ligament on his Premier League debut against Nottingham Forest in August.

    Trossard slammed for Belgium performance

Arsenal winger Leandro Trossard has been criticised for his display in Belgium's win over Azerbaijan.

Trossard started for his country in their 1-0 win in EURO 2024 qualifying on Saturday.

However, ex-Belgium international Philippe Albert has now blasted the Gunners star's performance.

"I saw that (Belgium boss Domenico) Tedesco covered the latter (Trossard) somewhat in the press conference," Albert told Sud Info.

"But the Arsenal player often did the complete opposite of what he should have done.

"That is to say, turn his opponent around instead of dropping back like he almost always did."

Rice breaks silence on rejecting Man City

Declan Rice has lifted the lid on his decision to sign for Arsenal over Manchester City this summer.

The England midfielder had been the subject of interest from the treble winners before choosing to join the Gunners for £105million.

Asked why he chose Arsenal, Rice told Channel 4: "The manager. Mikel. From the moment I met him I knew he was the one I wanted to take care of the next part of my career.

"The way he spoke, his aura, the way he sees the game."

Rice 'surprised' by Arsenal team-mate in training

Declan Rice has admitted he has been "surprised" by Jorginho's ability in Arsenal training.

Since completing his £105million move to the Gunners this summer, Rice has been blown away by the former Chelsea man.

Speaking to Channel 4, he explained: "The one who has surprised me so much, not surprised me because I knew he was a good player anyway, but playing with him every day in training, seeing how he is because he's not the biggest, is Jorginho.

"His brain, the way it works as a holding midfielder, I've just been trying to pick up little things off him.

"He's always in position, always knows when to pass, always creates time for himself. He's an outstanding trainer and I've been trying to take little bits from his game as well."

      Arsenal monitoring World Cup winner

Arsenal are one of three Premier League clubs monitoring Atletico Madrid right-back Nahuel Molina.

The Gunners are "closely following" the Argentina international, according to Fichajes, along with Aston Villa and Manchester City.

Molina, 25, was a part of Argentina's World Cup-winning side in Qatar and has been in impressive form for Atletico since joining them last summer.

The defender has proven to be a threat going forward, already scoring this season to take his tally for the Spanish giants to five in 44 appearances with a further four assists.

      Gunners eye Sporting defender

Arsenal are targeting a move for Sporting Lisbon defender Ousmane Diomande in 2024.

According to Portuguese outlet Record, the Gunners were prepared to bid up to £30million for Diomande this summer and will make a fresh approach next year.

Sporting were not willing to discuss a £30million deal, the report adds, with the 19-year-old having a £69million release clause.

The Ivory Coast international joined Sporting in January and still has four years remaining on his contract.

The 22-year-old joined Arsenal from Huddersfield in 2020 and went on to have loan spells with Dundee United and Chesterfield.

Trio of Arsenal players face contract expiry

Arsenal face the prospect of losing three of their current first-team players for free next summer.

Cedric Soares, Mohamed Elneny and Jorginho are all into the final 12 months of their contracts at the Emirates Stadium.

Sporting director Edu Gaspar and manager Mikel Arteta have until the end of June 2024 to either extend their deals or lose them for nothing when their contracts expire.

However, Jorginho does have the option of a further year as part of his deal.

      Balogun on Arsenal exit

Folarin Balogun explained why he left Arsenal for Monaco this summer.

I felt it was important to me to go to a side that is competing to win stuff. They are a really big team in the French league.

At the same time I want to play games and improve, prove to myself and people around that I am capable of playing and being the main striker for a team.

In the end, when Monaco were interested, it was an easy decision for me. I told my agent this was the only place I wanted to go, and luckily for me he made it happen.

Zinchenko has been raising awareness following Russia illegal invasion of Ukraine.

      The Real deal

Real Madrid ace Federico Valverde revealed he once had a trial with Arsenal with the help of former star Alexis Sanchez but the Gunners decided against signing him.

I have always been grateful to him [Alexis Sanchez]. When I went to train at Arsenal, Alexis was there and he was one of the few who came up to help me.

I will always be grateful to him because, being a nobody, I was well received by him.

He was there to help me when I was a kid. As a footballer he is an incredible player.

      Ivan Toney claim

Jay Bothroyd admitted that he would love to see Arsenal land Brentford's Ivan Toney.

[Toney's] An A for me, he scores goals, he’s prolific, he's strong, he leads the line really well.

If you put him in one of the top teams he will score at least 20 Premier League goals per season.

Great on penalties, penalties he’s unbelievable. If you took him to someone like Arsenal, I would love Arsenal to sign him now.

I think he would score more goals than [Gabriel] Jesus, than Ollie Watkins, in the Premier League.

      Rice on Moyes dance

Arsenal star opened up about West Ham manager David Moyes dancing to that infamous Jarrod Bowen and Dani Dyer chant.

The gaffer was top cause all the lads – the Brazilian lads the French lads – when the gaffer starts dancing in the changing room they're all like that [gives a stunned look].

When the gaffer is singing and dancing it [the Dani Dyer chant], all the English lads are like [shocked]. 'I can't believe the gaffer is actually singing it'. It's brilliant. But he's so good at things like that.

And obviously when we won, I think there was like 40,000 West Ham [fans] out there. It's like another level.

And the parade as well, as a kid you want to experience parades after winning stuff. And the moment we left the Boleyn to Stratford, I was blown away.

I look at videos on my phone, photos – memories that will live for a lifetime. Everyone's so happy about it.

      On the defence

Arsenal are already working on a move for Sporting Lisbon ace Ousmane Diomande after having a bid rejected this summer.

According to Record, the Gunners had a £30million approach for Diomande turned down during the past transfer window.

But despite being turned away, the North Londoners' manager Mikel Arteta is said to be really keen on returning for the centre-back next summer.

Unfortunately for Arsenal, however, the 19-year-old's impressive campaign seems to have had a pretty big impact on his price tag.

The same source reported that Sporting will only be willing to sell the Ivory Coast international if a club was to activate his £70m release clause.

Arsenal are unlikely to be a lone horse in the race for the defender's signature with Juventus also said to be interested, while Manchester City and Monaco have also previously been linked.

      Get Jack back

Arsenal fans have urged Under-18s manager Jack Wilshere to come out of retirement after a clip of him having a kickabout went viral.

Wilshere hung up his boots last year at just 30 years old following an injury-hit career.

The ex-midfielder, now 31, has proved that he still has some of his brilliant skills as he took the field for a game.

In a viral video, the former England international could be seen drifting past his opponents with ease and still had great control of the ball.

Wilshere's passing ability and awareness were made clear in the clip as he was able to pick out his team-mates like in his glory years.

The video ended with the ex-West Ham star hammering a shot past the goalkeeper to score.
