Aston Villa fans cheekily troll Wayne Rooney with five-word chant after horror start at hated rivals Birmingham | The Sun

ASTON VILLA fans mocked new Birmingham manager Wayne Rooney during their 3-1 win over Luton on Sunday.

Former Manchester United and England striker Rooney, 38, took over at St Andrew's earlier this month following the sacking of John Eustace.

Defeats to Middlesbrough and Hull were followed up on Saturday with a 3-1 loss to Southampton.

And 24 hours later, Villa supporters were quick to poke fun at their local rivals.

As they watched their team win a 12th Premier League home game in a row, they took the time to reference Birmingham boss Rooney.

They have won four of their last five Premier League games, picking up 13 points from a possible 15.
