Crystal Palace left-back Tayo Adaramola in line for new loan transfer after injury struggles with Coventry | The Sun

CRYSTAL PALACE left-back Tayo Adaramola is wanted on loan by Wigan.

The Republic of Ireland Under- 21 star has had a difficult time since a loan spell with Coventry last season was cut short after just a few weeks.

Now Latics boss Shaun Maloney is keen to give the Palace youth product regular first-team action.

Wigan hope the Prem club will let him join their League One campaign in January.

The Dubliner, 19, was beset with injury problems in 2022 even before a disappointing stint at Coventry.

He played only once for the Championship side -just an hour of a 4-1 Carabao Cup home loss against Bristol City in August last year.

Palace recalled Adaramola a month later, with then-boss Patrick Vieira saying: “He wasn’t getting the first-team games and we called him back.

“It will be important for him to learn and to try to understand why it didn’t work over there and to keep pushing on what he is missing to make the next step.

“It’s our responsibility to keep working with him and make him get his confidence back and believe in himself to try and push him.

"We believe in him and will keep working with him.”
