Dortmund 'hold Jadon Sancho meeting TODAY to discuss swap transfer with Man Utd getting Netherlands star' | The Sun

A HUGE meeting is set to take place TODAY over a potential player swap deal involving Jadon Sancho.

We revealed last month how Manchester United are set to offload the outcasted winger, 23, once Sir Jim Ratcliffe completes his £1.3billion buy-in for a 25 per cent stake in the Red Devils.

Juventus appeared to be leading the chase to sign both Sancho and fellow wantaway United ace Donny van de Beek.

Then his former club Borussia Dortmund offered him a return as part of a swap deal involving Donyell Malen.

Now German journalist Christian Falk has offered an update on the situation and claims details regarding that deal could be thrashed out by the close of play this afternoon.

He tweeted that there is a meeting today at Dortmund regarding the swap.

Falk added that Dortmund are demanding £25.7m or Sancho from United in return for Dutch forward Malen.

The former Arsenal academy starlet was signed by Dortmund from PSV in 2021 just days after Sancho's £73m departure to Old Trafford.

The 24-year-old Netherlands international, who can play on both wings or as a striker, has scored five goals in 19 appearances across all competitions this season.

Meanwhile, Sancho was outcasted after a stand-off that started when he was left out of the squad for September’s 3-1 loss at Arsenal.

Manager Erik ten Hag said his training was not up to standard when quizzed on his absence afterwards, but Sancho posted on social media in response: “I will not allow people saying things that are completely untrue, I conducted myself in training very well this week.”

The England international, whose last cap came over two years ago, deleted the post, But Ten Hag called for an apology that never came.

He was axed from United’s WhatsApp group after already being barred from training with the senior side or using any of their facilities, including the canteen.

Both his team-mates and club staff urged Sancho to back down but he has refused and is now desperate to secure his exit.
