England have a 100 per cent record from Euro 2024 qualifying Group C so far and a win will help Gareth Southgate's side put one foot into the tournament in Germany next summer.

    50. Quiet start to the second period.

A miscommunication between Saka and Walker sees the ball run out for a goalkick.

No changes for England at the break.

But Ukraine have made one as Kryvtsov, a team-mate of Lionel Messi at Inter Miami, replaces Matvienko.

The hosts get the second half underway.

    Worth the wait…

Kyle Walker (33 years 104 days) is the second-oldest player to score his first goal for England.

The oldest is still Jimmy Moore against Sweden in May 1923 (34y 10d).

Half time: Kyle Walker's very first England goal ensured the Three Lions go in at the break all-square.

Gareth Southgate's men have dominated possession but shockingly fell behind on 26 minutes completely against the run of play courtesy of Zinchenko.

    40. Just five minutes to go until half time and the Three Lions still trail.

Despite having most of the possession, we still haven't really had any clearcut chances.

This is also the first time we've been behind since that World Cup quarter-final defeat to France back in December.

    Pick that out

A brilliant shot from behind Zinchenko as he blasted home past Pickford to break the deadlock.

And his celebration wasn't bad either…

The first attack of any note from Ukraine and it results in a goal.

Konoplya races down the right towards the byline and pulls the ball back across the box between a sea of bodies.

But Arsenal defender Zinchenko is in the right place to rifle past Jordan Pickford and take the roof of the place.

That was the game's first shot on target.

    23. Maybe we spoke too soon regarding Bukayo Saka.

He has just been spotted limping.

Channel 4 commentator and former England striker Dion Dublin believes it is highly unlikely that we'll see him come out for the second half.

    10. We are into the tenth minute and Ukraine have hardly been able to get out of their half, never mind touch the ball.

It's been all England, who have incredibly enjoyed 95 per cent of possession so far.
