BBC Breakfast's John Watson joked he's missing his friend Matt Taylor on the morning show.
Appearing on the morning news channel on Wednesday morning (September 20), Jon Kay and Sally Nugent welcomed John onto the show to give the latest sport update. He gave a brief insight into the latest goings-on in the sports world before the hosts moved along to the weather.

Jon and Sally confirmed they'd be moving the segments on to Matt Taylor who would give an update on the weather around the UK – and Jon took the opportunity to make a subtle dig at Matt's prior blunder.
He said: "Thank you John, it must be nice as well to get through a sports bulletin without Matt interfering," prompting John to respond: "Yes, I'm missing my mate this morning."
As they said good morning to Matt, he cheerily said: "Morning! I'm safely in my box this morning, far away from John."
John then continued to his segment while his co-stars giggled as they remembered his very awkward blunder on the BBC One morning show on Tuesday. Matt accidentally jumped in the shot behind John as he gave updates on the sporting world.
Matt, who appeared "eager" to start his day, was seen awkwardly shuffling on screen behind John before he realised he was on the camera and quickly disappeared again. However it didn't go unnoticed.
John had caught him in one of the monitors and started to chuckle as he laughed: "I think Matt will be enjoying [the football] too, he's looking very eager isn't he." John then turned to his co-star and smiled as he continued to laugh at the blunder.
Ben, who had stepped in to cover Jon Kay, asked if they could see the clip again while Sally added: "It's okay, no one noticed!"
Sally then joked the weather must be on next as the presenters continued chuckling at his awkward blunder – and the attention soon went back to John, but he was far from the blunder this morning.
Viewers found the awkward mishap hilarious and rushed to X (formerly Twitter) to share clips alongside laughing emojis.
