BBC Breakfast turned extremely awkward during the latest episode of the morning show as journalist Ben Boulous was mistaken for a market stall vendor.
The reporter was on location in Birmingham on Wednesday (December 20) morning to share the latest breaking news that Inflation in the United Kingdom had fallen to 3.9 percent to November. As he was speaking to Sally Nugent and Jon Kay in the studio, a man could be seen walking behind Ben inspecting the goods on offer in the warehouse.
The shopper disappeared off screen and Ben, 39, stopped sharing his report to turn to the man and tell him: "I don't work here, I'm just doing the news." His colleagues back in the BBC studio could be heard laughing, with Ben quickly apologising before carrying on.

Ben said: "Uh sorry" before waving his hand around in the air to try and move past what had just happened. Clearly seeing the funny side of the encounter, the broadcaster shared a clip of the moment to social media, simply writing: "I don’t work here’"alongside a laughing-crying emoji face.
Many others thought what happened was hilarious, with one person joking the presenter was "pulling off the high vis a little too well| Someone else shared: "I couldn’t stop laughing. Smoothly handled Ben!". However, other viewers had questions about how the man got confused. One fan asked: "Did he not see the camera you were standing right in front of? Maybe he needs to go to that famous specs store." Elsewhere in the programme, Carol Kirkwood was interrupted live on air after being hit with snowballs.
The 61-year-old presenter was on hand to offer the latest weather forecast live from Stroud's Snow Business International Ltd, however things didn't quite go to plan. As Carol ended her segment, she was suddenly hit with snowballs thrown by people off-camera. Shocked presenter Sally could be heard saying: "Don't you dare do that to Carol." As she tried to hand back over to the studio, Jon joked: "No, we're going to stay for more of this."

Carol added: "You can't get the staff, Sal." before adding "I'm off" as she walked off screen. Sally continued: "How would anyone dare throw a snowball at the queen of weather?" Jon shouted: "Merry Christmas, Carol. We need her back for Christmas Day, she's with us Christmas morning. I bet there's people in Stroud looking out their windows, looking at their TVs and looking back out their windows, it's all fake."
