THE PRODUCER behind long running medical drama Casualty has shared spoilers for the upcoming season of the show.
Jon Sen will be stepping down from his role after this series, so it's not one fans will want to miss.
And plotlines will come to a dramatic head as he wraps up loose ends before moving onto his next project.
The Casualty boss shared that when the BBC show comes back on air towards the end of 2023, viewers will see Stevie struggling with PTSD from her traumatic childhood.
This combined with a situation at the hospital causes a perfect storm for the emergency consultant.
Jon teased: "So it's a really exciting story that we're telling over the next, kind of, three months and that comes back towards the end of the year."

He added that there will also be "explosive" scenes coming up dealing with family drama between Max and Jodie.
Fans of the medical show have seen Max's health battle after being diagnosed with kidney failure, but he has been resistant to asking for help from his emergency nurse daughter.
"All I can say about that is that it's worth tuning in for because the excitement of that father-daughter relationship really comes to a head," Jon continued to Radio Times.
"We're really excited about what the audience is going to think about him and his exit and his final story, and that all sits as part of that new chapter in the show."

Producer Jon announced he was quitting the show earlier in October in a devastating blow to the BBC who said they are sorry to see him go.
The news came after a shock announcement from Derek Thompson that he was leaving his role as Charlie Fairhead after 37 years.
