ITV Coronation Street fans were left feeling emotional after Ryan Connor departed the soap and headed for Glasgow.
Ryan Connor – who plays Ryan Prescott on the ITV programme – exited the Cobbles in an orderly fashion via a taxi in scenes airing on this evening's episode (20 December). Ryan looked off at Daisy Midgeley in his final scene before heading to the airport.
Over on X, fans were sad to see Ryan go as they took to their keyboards to pen emotional tributes: "Aww I really liked Ryan, I hope he does come back." Another added: "At least the door has been left open for Ryan," as a third added: "I'm sad I'd hoped Daisy and Ryan would get together."
Although Ryan was leaving, business matters seemed to be on the up for Daisy who had seemingly scored a huge victory, with a plan to buy the famed Rovers Return.

Daisy had been due to purchase the Rover alongside her partner Daniel Osbourne but after she came clean about sleeping with Ryan Connor behind his back. The plan was off the cards.
With Daisy having been dumped by Daniel and out of funds to buy the beloved pub, she turned elsewhere for the funds. On Monday's episode, she happened to stumble across a diary belonging to serial killer Stephen Reid, who had a stash of money hidden that he'd stolen from Underworld – Carla Connor.
Daisy went to Stephen's mum Audrey to ask for access to the diary but was refused. However, later saw her throwing it away and knew she'd struck gold and that she had access to more than £247,000 of Carla's money.
Since then Daisy has managed to keep the diary under wraps but finds herself needing to explain herself to Jenny when she unknowingly finds the black book hiding on the messy sofa. After she'd moaned at Daisy to clear up after herself.
At this point, Daisy had to come clean with how it came into her possession, with Jenny wagging her finger thinking that she'd stolen it and wanted to confront Carla about the cash they had found and had access to.
Jenny later decides not to tell Carla and gives Daisy permission to go ahead with the purchase of the pub. However, she makes her promise to put all of the money back before Carla has a chance to notice.
