Coronation Street's Damon Hay holds terrified Adam Barlow at gunpoint in explosive scenes | The Sun

CORONATION Street villain Damon Hay won't be taking any prisoners when he makes his dramatic return to Weatherfield.

The bad boy, played by actor Ciaran Griffiths, has already begun filming his comeback to the ITV soap in dramatic fashion.

New explosive pictures have shown the supposedly reformed gangster holding his love rival Adam Barlow at gunpoint.

Damon hasn't been seen on screens since earlier this year when he appeared to quit the cobbles for good following the revelation of his seedy affair with Adam's wife Sarah.

It resulted in a baby bombshell that saw Sarah miscarry the pair's secret love child together.

Last seen speeding off in his car, most of the Street's residents have begun to forget his existence, until now.

In the images, Damon can be seen pointing a gun straight at Adam.

Having placed a cloth over his head, it remains unclear if Adam is aware of his mystery attacker.

Appearing to be surrounded by his cronies, Damon has Adam right where he wants him after taking him out to an industrial estate away from prying eyes.

It remains to be seen if Adam will meet a grisly end at the hands of his sworn enemy or if Damon is just teaching him a lesson once and for all.

Earlier this year, Coronation Street boss Iain MacLeod confirmed the return of Damon to the show alongside his murderous brother, Harvey, played by Will Mellor.

The brothers have a connection to the Street as a result of their dodgy dealings with Nick Tilsley and Leanne Battersby.

Harvey was sent to prison for his role in a terrifying drugs ring as well as being implicated in the murder of Nick's son Sam's mum, Natasha Blakeman.

The brothers make up two out of five former show stars set to re-appear over the next month.

Linda Hancock will be back following her guest stint earlier this year with fan favourite Lucy Fallon also heading back to the cobbles as Bethany Platt.
