Coronation Street’s Lauren Bolton set for arrest as jealousy escalates

Coronation Street: Laurence talks with Todd before leaving

Coronation Street’s Lauren Bolton (played by Cait Fitton) is set to be arrested in upcoming scenes.

Official spoilers for the ITV soap reveal her trouble with the law comes as her jealousy of Max Turner (Paddy Bever) boils over.

In scenes set to air next week, David Platt (Jack P. Shepherd) proudly watches as Max prepares for his first day at college.

Not wanting to hurt her feelings, Max lies to Lauren and says he’ll be at college all day, although he heads off to meet Sabrina (Luana Santos) at the precinct.

However, Lauren is watching them both from a distance, feeling deflated at his lie.

When Sabrina heads off, Max is urged to stop messing with her and ask her out, as it’s clear they have feelings for each other.

Back at the cafe, Lauren tries to wind Sabrina up by pretending she and Max are together, although he later assures her that’s far from the truth.

Later on, when she’s alone, Lauren goes into a fit of rage as her jealousy takes over and she trashes the salon.

As David tells Max he can start an apprenticeship at the hairdressers, as he refuses to go to college, he lets himself in and sees the place Lauren has destroyed.

Staring at the mess in horror, Lauren admits to Max it was her, and the pair try their best to clean up the salon.

Demanding she leave, Max promises that he’ll cover for her, although when David and Maria Connor (Samia Longchambon) spot the broken mirror, they demand answers.

Back at the cafe, Lauren apologises to Roy Cropper (David Neilson) for missing her shift.

However, their conversation is soon disrupted by a police officer who announces that he’s arresting Lauren on suspicion of causing criminal damage.

Will Lauren face jail time for her outburst? Or are the Platts trying to teach Lauren a lesson to try and control her anger?

Speaking to Express.co.uk earlier this year, actress Cait Fitton said: “I think there is unfinished business with Max and Lauren. I think there always will be.

“There will always be love there, there will always be feelings there because they share the same trauma.”

Coronation Street continues Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays on ITV from 8pm.
