Coronation Street: Tim is attacked by Stephen
Coronation Street’s Barabara Knox recently celebrated her 90th birthday, which left fans of the ITV soap stunned and impressed after not knowing her real age.
Barbara initially appeared on Coronation Street for a one-off appearance as the exotic dancer, Rita Littlewood, now Tanner, in 1964.
However, she has since gone on to be a beloved member of Weathefield and has had many sidekicks over the years including Mavis Riley (played by Thelma Barlow) and Norris Cole (Malcolm Hebden).
As part of her huge birthday celebrations, she teamed up with ITV to film Barbara Knox at 90 which will air later this week, on Friday, October 13.
The programme, which is hosted by Bradley Walsh, will look back at Barbara’s life before showbiz and her rise to fame.

Barbara will also share her most treasured memories from the role which has made her famous across the world, revisiting the site of the infamous Tram accident in 1989, and reflecting on the moment she was awarded an MBE in 2010.
Throughout her career, Barbara has been quite private about her personal life, which she will open up to viewers for the first time, with never seen before photos from her childhood.
Coronation Street recently took to its social media pages to remind viewers of the show alongside some images of Barbara, with one of them being her reunion with Thelma Barlow at the Tatton Park Flower Show over the summer.
The post read: “Barbara Knox At 90. Friday 13th October. 9pm. ITV1. It’s going to be a special one.
Viewers of Coronation Street were left stunned at the revelation of her age and commented on the X post.
