Coronation Street viewers are convinced there is a link between Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton) and evil abuser Nathan Curtis (Christopher Harper) who was previously sent to prison in recent years for grooming Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon).
The connection comes when Lauren found herself in an uncomfortable situation last week when she mistook Roy Cropper's generous offer as a sexual proposal.
After the cafe owner realised that Lauren was trying to run away from her troubles once again, he offered her a place to stay for free.

But Lauren left Roy stunned when she insinuated that she would be able to sleep with him in order to stay.
Since the disturbing scene aired, fans have taken to social media to share their thoughts, with some suggesting that Nathan might have something to do with it.
Kickstarting the conversation, one fan wrote on Reddit: "So, I'm catching up on Corrie. And just watched last Monday's episode where Lauren thought Roy [Cropper] was being kind to get his leg over which is the most uncomfortable scene I've seen in a while.
"Is this storyline going where I think it is? Where she was abused/groomed by her dad and/or Gryff and/or the other chaps? Poor girl."

Sharing their thoughts on the post, one fan replied: "Some people have speculated that she’s one of the girls Nathan abused, which, with Bethany coming back, sort of makes sense. But she has definitely been abused in some form for her to speak like that."
Another shared: "Aw, it was heartbreaking. But yeah, being a victim of Nathan's might make sense."
Back in 2017, Bethany was groomed by Nathan and his infamous tanning salon was a front for a sexual exploitation ring he ran.
ITV viewers will remember Natan manipulating Bethany before pimping her out to his cruel circle of friends.
Thankfully, Nathan and the members of his gang were eventually arrested and were later found guilty of rape and conspiracy to commit rape.
However despite the conviction, the ordeal clearly still affected Bethany as she later turned to lap-dancing for a brief while in a bid to regain control of her body.
According to recent reports, Bethany could be returning to the cobbles after a three-year hiatus.
