Danny Miller has spoken about whether fans can expect to see him stage a return to Emmerdale.
The actor, who played fan-favourite Aaron Dingle in the ITV soap, caught up with Metro.co.uk at the CUREUsher ball, hosted by former co-stars Mark Jordon and Laura Norton to raise money for those living with Usher syndrome.
Mark and Laura’s children, Jesse and Ronnie, both have Usher syndrome, which is a rare genetic condition that affects both hearing and vision.
Danny, 32, was quick to heap praise on Mark and Laura, who play Daz Spencer and Kerry Wyatt respectively, saying they’ve put ‘a lot of hard work into it’.
‘Having experience in this kind of thing myself, I’ve tried to give them little pointers along the way’, he told Metro.co.uk on the red carpet.
‘The work they’ve put in between them is amazing, so hopefully they raise lots of money for a great cause – and not necessarily a well-known cause.’
Danny is best known for having played Aaron in Emmerdale between 2008 and 2022.
Aaron featured in many iconic storylines throughout his tenure on the show, including his beloved relationship with Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley).
Following Robert’s incarceration, he suffered more tragedy after boyfriend Ben Tucker was murdered by serial killer Meena Jutla, which led to him leaving the eponymous village for a fresh start.
Danny reprised his role for a short stint last year as part of Emmerdale’s 50th anniversary, which saw Aaron’s sister Liv Flaherty (Isobel Steele) tragically die.
But could we see Danny back in the village once again?
‘You never say never with soap,’ the actor said. ‘Maybe one day. I am enjoying being a dad of two now, I’m enjoying that wave, so we’ll see how it goes and how long it takes!’
Fingers crossed!
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
