EastEnders legend, Strictly star and popular comedian confirmed for twisted new game show Battle in the Box | The Sun

AN EastEnders legend and Strictly star lead the lineup for Jimmy Carr's brand new comedy game show.

The show, called Battle in the Box, sees two pairs of celebrities go head-to-head in a series of mental and physical challenges.

Set to air next year on UKTV's Dave channel, each star is locked in an empty box for 24 hours -with only just a toothbrush and toilet.

Comedian Jimmy Carr will present the series, as the contestants battle for floor space – but the more rounds they lose, the smaller their box becomes.

And The Sun can exclusively reveal former EastEnders actor Joe Swash has signed up for the show.

He spent the night away from wife Stacey Solomon and their five children for the box's cold floor.

The lineup also includes TV presenter and former Strictly Come Dancing star Ellie Taylor.

Expectant mum Ellie, 39, had wowed producers as she took on the challenges despite being heavily pregnant.

Made In Chelsea's Jamie Laing also gave up his everyday luxuries and plush pad for the box.

Comedians Katherine Ryan and Seann Walsh are also taking part.
