Corrie’s Ellie Leach will be joining Strictly Come Dancing 2023

Former Coronation Street actress Ellie Leach has opened up about her secret link to another Strictly Come Dancing star

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Express.co.uk and other press, Ellie said she was delighted to be joined by Adam Thomas in the competition.

She said: “When I found out Adam was doing it I was really excited because I was like, ‘Finally I don’t feel like I am going to be on my own’ because obviously we know that we’re doing it but we don’t know who else is doing it.

“So when I found out I was so excited.”

Joining Ellie and Adam on the dancefloor tonight include the likes of Angela Scanlon, Nigel Harman, and Zara McDermott.

Fans will also get a first look at the celebrities in action with their professional dance partners.

The contestants will be safe from elimination this weekend, but as of next Saturday, they will have to fight for a place in the competition.

Since the line-up was announced, the bookmakers have been coming up with their own thoughts on who might be eliminated first.

They have also predicted which celebrity could be lifting the Glitterball Trophy this year.

Ladbrokes think Bobby Brazier will win the 2023 series, with Angela Scanlon and Layton Williams close behind the soap star.

However, it is bad news for Jody Cundy who is the current outsider with odds of 50/1.

Krishnan Guru-Murthy and Les Dennis are also the outsiders of the competition with odds of 40/1 and 33/1 of winning.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “Bobby Brazier has been popular with punters ever since it was announced he’d be taking part in the next series of Strictly.

“Fans already can’t get enough of him and at this point, the Glitterball Trophy is very much his to take home.”

When discussing her game plan and how she will take the judges’ feedback on board each week, Ellie admitted she will use it to her advantage.

When asked whether she was worried about the judges’ criticism, the former soap star added: “I think it pushes you so you think, ‘Next week I need to focus on this’.”

Strictly Come Dancing returns tonight at 6.35pm on BBC One.
