Emmerdale star engaged as he proposes to stunning girlfriend on romantic getaway

Emmerdale star Bradley Johnson is engaged to his girlfriend Sammie Johnstone after dating for over two years.

The ITV actor, who is best known for playing Vinny Dingle in Emmerdale, asked for his fiance's hand in marriage while on a romantic getaway to Rome, Italy. Sharing his good news with his fans on the social media platform, Bradley posted a photo of himself alongside Sammie as they posed in front of the Colosseum.

The pair were all smiles as Bradley's finance showed off her beautiful ring. Captioning the post he wrote: "When in Rome," followed by a ring emoji.

Seeing his wholesome display, fans and Bradley's co-stars were quick to congratulate him in the comment section. One social media user wrote: "Congratulations!!! Can’t believe she said yes!? hahaha. Lots of love you beautiful pair."

Bradley's co-star Danny Miller, who plays Aaron Dingle gushed: "I knew you’d smash it my brother!!! Congratulations Brad and Sammy! Sending all the love mate. Enjoy!"

Another fan wrote: "Congrats you two lovebirds. I can see where the Emmerdale budget is going."

Karen Blick – who plays the role of Lydia Dingle also sent her congratulations and wrote: "Ahh fabulous news congratulations guys," and Dean Andrews – who plays Will Taylor – quipped: "Congrats you two lovebirds. I can see where the Emmerdale budget is going."

Bradley and Sammie first started dating in August 2021. Last year, to mark their one-year anniversary in August, Bradley posted a sweet tribute to his wife-to-be on social media. The star wrote at the time: "1 year with my soulmate!! How time flies. We have done so much together! Here is to many more!! Love you @sammiejojo92."

The actor was previously linked to his co-star Isobel Steele, who played his on-screen wife Liv Dingle until her character was sadly killed off by a horror storm. Clarifying they were just friends, she previously said: "Brad is wonderful and such a good friend of mine. We are very similar and work really well together when we have scenes just us two.

"I can see why people jumped to conclusions, seeing two characters spending time together on and off-screen! For the record, me and Brad are not in a relationship. We are just very good friends who enjoy each other’s company out of work as well as in work."
