Emmerdale’s Chas Dingle in grave danger as villain returns seeking revenge

Emmerdale: Paddy and Caleb talk about Chas Dingle

Chas Dingle (played by Lucy Pargeter) could be in grave danger when a villain returns to Emmerdale in scenes yet to air.

The soap character starts struggling on the anniversary of Grace’s death and is frustrated when her daughter wants to play on the swings instead of visiting her grave.

As Chas’ ex Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt) reflects on how life has moved on while standing in the graveyard Chas is left feeling stuck in the past.

Paddy rejects Chas’ offer of a drink and opts for lunch with Mandy Dingle (Lisa Riley) instead. Chas is then left feeling completely alone.

Later that day, Emmerdale villain Harry (Robert Beck) introduces himself to Chas as ‘Simon’, and buys her a drink.

They get to know each other while his true intentions remain unclear to her. However, viewers will recognise the shady character.

Bonding over their late children, Chas admits bringing ‘Simon’ home was a mistake and he agrees to sleep on her sofa.

When she heads upstairs, Harry searches the backroom, looking coldly at a photo of her and Caleb Milligan (Will Ash).

The following day, ‘Simon’ leaves the Woolpack, but not before he is caught by an unimpressed Paddy.

Chas doesn’t want to talk about ‘Simon’ with her ex-husband before she is hit with some crushing news.

Paddy tells Chas their daughter wants to live with him from now on. Chas puts her foot in it with a comment about Mandy’s parenting skills and is forced to leave her daughter with a concerned Paddy.

Outside the house, with tears streaming down her face, Chas calls ‘Simon’.

Will Chas soon work out ‘Simon’ is up to no good and is out to get revenge on her brothers?

The villain made his debut last month when Caleb was unaware his car firm employee Corey was up to no good.

Corey was helping Harry with illegal parcel drop-offs and dodgy dealings. Later on, Harry and his gang beat Caleb up and left him for dead.

Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV and ITVX.
