ESCAPE to the Chateau's Dick and Angel Strawbridge have announced a ‘huge’ career milestone months after they cut ties with Channel 4.
The couple was recently congratulated by delighted fans after they revealed the impressive news with an emotional Instagram post.
Escape to the Chateau stars Dick and Angel Strawbridge couldn't be happier after they announced that their book The Chateau Forever Home has become a Sunday Times bestseller and received the ninth position on the 'General Hardbacks' list.
The couple thanked their 476k followers and revealed their book had gained the status of ‘The instant Sunday Times bestseller’ by sharing a photo of the book on their joint Instagram page.
Dick and Angel captioned the post: “What a fantastic end to the weekend! Our new book Forever Home is in the Top 10 of the Sunday Times Bestseller List.
"This is a huge deal to us, and it's because of you – everyone who has supported us and bought the book. We cannot thank you enough."

Escape to the Chateau aired on Channel 4 from 2016 to 2022 and followed Dick and Angel as they raised their two children, Arthur and Dorothy, while renovating their 19th-century French Chateau.
Since their departure, the Starwbridge’s have been busy as they released a new book and also launched their own podcast with Global Player.
Speaking about why the show ended to Christine Lampard during an appearance on ITV's Lorraine.
Dick said: "We know that Arthur and Dorothy would get to an age… they were so little and didn't really know what was going on.
"We're living in such a different world now, and for us as a family, we finally caught up with the weddings from COVID."
Dick and Angel’s CHAT…EAU podcast was released on November 1, and it marked the couple's first significant media project since their exit from the reality programme.
During a clip from the first episode, Dick addressed the listers and announced: "We are doing a podcast here from the chateau, and it's about our life and how ridiculous and how silly it is to buy a chateau.
"Once we've established that it's a pretty silly idea to buy a chateau, we'll tell you about our life in France and what's going on in our world."
Angel added: "We've been filming for the last ten years, and I can't wait to get in and talk about all the funny memories that didn't make the show. We have got a lot to say."
The couple will open up family life at the Château de la Motte-Husson, and their children in the podcast.
They will be sharing exclusive details about when they first bought the mansion in 2015 when it had no basic electricity, sewerage, or heating.
In a recent newsletter, Dick and Angelpenned gave fans an idea of what to expect on their podcast show.
