Ferne McCann cruelly mum-shamed as she shows off daughter Sunday’s huge double bed | The Sun

FERNE McCann was today cruelly mum-shamed as she showed off her daughter Sunday’s huge double bed.

It comes after the mother-of-two previously revealed her past experiences with trolls on social media.

The former The Only Way Is Essex star – who recently welcomed her second child – was back in the firing line after she shared a picture of her eldest daughter's room.

Sharing a sweet snap of herself and five-year-old Sunday, Ferne, 33, wrote: "Sweet dreams and stylish slumbers in Sunday’s new plush paradise.

"From a single snuggle to a double delight"

But one fan was quick to slam her for her choice of bed, and said: "Will never understand why kids so young need a double bed."

Another agreed: "I just don’t get it at all."

However, the majority of her followers defended her, with one saying: "Probably doesn’t need it but wanted it and she can so why not?"

This fan commented: "Lucky little lady! Looks fab Ferne!"

Ferne had her daughter Sunday with her now ex-Arthur Collins, who is currently in prison.

She then welcomed her second daughter Finty in the summer, with her fiance Lozza Haines.

Meanwhile, Ferne recently opened about the mum-shaming she experiences, especially when it comes to one of her daughter’s names.

She admitted that whenever she shares anything about her kids on her social media accounts, other parents shame and harass her.

She explained: “I get trolled for whatever – especially when it comes to the children.”

Speaking on podcast Saving Grace, Ferne continued to dub her critics “the mum police.”

Ferne continued: “I don’t know if it’s mums and dads, but on my socials, it’s normally mums, and they come out in force.”

Detailing the things she’s received negative comments about, Ferne listed everything from feeding techniques to how you dress your kids.

She revealed: “No matter what – whether you breastfeed, dummies, muslin, the way you support their head – how people can see that in a picture, I don’t know – to what you dress them in and call them, everyone has an opinion.”

And Ferne, who has her own ITV series called Ferne McCann: My Family & Me, said that has definitely been her experience.

When Ferne announced that she’d called her eldest daughter Sunday, people questioned her choices and slammed the moniker.

And when the podcast host grilled her on “the hate”, Ferne said it even continued into her second pregnancy.

Ferne recalled: “When I was pregnant with Finty, everyone was like, ‘it’s going to be Monday or Tuesday – just have seven kids!”

But when she eventually unveiled her unusual moniker to the world, some people made it  known they were not a fan – so much so that Ferne hit back.

After spotting comments, such as “that name ain’t cute” and “she cannot be serious with that name”, Ferne decided enough was enough.

And when one of her loyal fans leapt to her defence, she directly responded to them.

Ferne’s Instagram follower wrote: “The name means Pure cannot believe in 2023 people still think it's acceptable to leave such nasty comments.

“A lovely name and a beautiful new addition to a family. Congratulations guys.”

But the reality star admitted on the podcast that she’s learnt to ignore people’s unkind words thanks to developing “a thick skin over the years”.
