Good Morning Britain co-host Adil Ray left the ITV show without saying goodbye to viewers.

The hit show returned for another instalment on Friday (August 25) with Adil and Charlotte Hawkins back at the helm.

TV fave, Adil, 49, confirmed this week that he would be taking a brief hiatus from programme.

Taking to social media on Monday, he wrote: “Back @gmb on Thursday and Friday this week from 6.

“Then not on for a while so don't miss out. Roll up roll up! While stocks last! It's a bargain!”

However, at the end of Friday’s episode (August 25) Adil failed to say goodbye or give a sign off to mark his upcoming time away from GMB.

As he handed over to Christine Lampard, who was filling in for Lorraine Kelly on her self-titled chat show, Adil said: "We’ll see you back on Monday morning."

Adil first joined ITV smash hit show Good Morning Britain in April 2018, replacing Piers Morgan who quit the show following the backlash for comments he made regarding Megan Markle’s interview with Oprah Winfrey.

Adil's GMB co-star Susanna Reid has also been absent recently, with her last appearance being on July 19.

She is currently enjoying her annual summer break from the show, and the likes of Richard Madeley and Kate Garraway have stepped in to fill in for her.
