Peter Andre reveals sad ‘real reason’ he never has birthday parties | The Sun

PETER Andre has revealed he has struggled to celebrate his birthday with a party since the death of his brother.

Andrew Andre tragically died of kidney cancer in December after a ten month battle – and the loss left Pete heartbroken.

Two months later he tried to celebrate his 40th birthday, but says he broke down and has been unable to have a party since.

Pete explained to The Times:  “When I lost my brother, I was in a very, very dark place.

“Therapists said, “You’re going through grief. It’s not the same as anxiety and depression, though you might be feeling the same symptoms.”

“At my surprise 40th birthday two months later, I kept disappearing and breaking down the whole night because I’d lost my brother. I don’t think I’ve had a birthday party since.”

“Milestones like this are a time to reflect and it's a very emotional time for us as a family. It does make Christmas a bittersweet time.”
