Ray Quinn looks startlingly different from his X Factor days with a beard as he sinks pints on his stag do | The Sun

SINGER and actor Ray Quinn looked very different from his X Factor days as he celebrated his stag do in Dublin.

The multi-talented star, who first found fame as a child star in Merseyside soap Brookside, now has a thick beard and long hair worn in a ponytail.

Ray, 35, looked to have had a blast as he visited the famous Temple Bar for a pint of Guinness, which he duly sank, and UFC icon Conor McGregor's The Black Forge.

He posed outside the bar and restaurant with his fists up before wearing a UFC belt inside. He also did his best impression of restaurateur Salt Bae.

Sharing pictures from the weekend on Instagram, Ray wrote: "Stag do. What a boss time it was..with all the boys in Dublin, pint of Guinness and a UFC belt to boot.. loved every minute.. still feeling it but memories to last a lifetime.. nice one boys."

Among his friends was Shane Nolan, the son of Coleen Nolan and Shane Richie.

Ever the good sport, Ray flashed a double thumbs up while wearing a T-shirt containing some of his best known telly gigs and the words: "star of stage & screen Quinny's stag do".

Now he's back home, Ray will be turning his attention to marrying his longtime girlfriend Emily Ashleigh with whom he has an 11 month old daughter called Summer.

Ray, who has been worked as a carpet fitter and delivery driver in recent years alongside his singing work, popped the question in 2019.

It will be the second time Ray has tied the knot following his marriage to ex Emma Stephens in 2012.

The former Hollyoaks actor turned his attention to the family carpet fitting trade months after his dad died of cancer.

He told OK! magazine: "My dad was a carpet fitter all his life. He taught my brothers how to do it.

"When I first started, I actually went to work in my dad’s old uniform. He’d always said you can work your way out of anything; to keep your head up high – and that’s what I’ve done."

Ray famously appeared on the X Factor in 2006 finishing second to Leona Lewis. He still performs to this day and specialises in the swing style.

He had another successful brush with reality TV in 2009 when he won Dancing On Ice. Five years later he went on to win an All Stars edition of the show, cementing himself as a skating superstar.
