Strictly fans air concern after Nigel and Katya ‘screwed over’ with costume

Strictly Come Dancing fans aired their concern for Nigel Harman and Katya Jones on Saturday after they took to the ballroom floor for Movie Week.

Dressed as Batman and Robin, Nigel and Katya scored 25 points for their Jive.

However, fans felt the production team “did the dirty” on Nigel over their costumes and theme tune.

Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, @nancysjowita shared: “Please please let’s not have a repeat of last year with the sacrificial terrible costume first dance being voted out #strictly.” (sic)

@Rach_Ev24 questioned: “Anyone else thinks Nigel and Katya were under marked or is my 20-year crush clouding my judgement? #Strictly.” (sic)

@Ms__Ed__ fumed: “Argh!!! I hate movie week and themes on #Strictly …that comedy jive was a bit “meh”. Nobody wants to leave dressed as a comedy batman! Keep Nigel Harman in!!!!” (sic)

@Mrs_AhmedZaman went on: “Better get my votes in for Nigel & Katya tonight considering how much production has done them dirty with that song choice. Someone needs to be fired. #StrictlyComeDancing #Strictly.” (sic)

“Nigel & Katya were screwed over with that theme. What a terrible song to have to jive to #Strictly,” @JenL1997 added.

Other fans loved their routine, with @Rebecca4005 tweeting: “Congratulations Nigel and Katya another amazing dance and opening the show. Good job Batman and Robin #strictly.” (sic)
