Strictly star Angela Scanlons next career move exposed after tearful BBC exit

Booted Strictly Come Dancing star Angela Scanlon could be set for a stint on a huge ITV show, a PR expert has claimed.

The TV favourite was one of many famous faces that took part in this year’s series of the glitzy BBC One show. Partnered up with Carlos Gu, the pair set the dance floor on fire week after week.

So much so, that they marked themselves as strong contenders to bag this year's Glitterball trophy. But in November, that all changed.

Irish beauty Angela and Chinese dancer Carlos found themselves in the dreaded dance-off against West End performer Layton Williams and Nikita Kuzmin. Ultimately, it was Angela and Carlos who were sent packing from the ballroom.

Prior to her Strictly stint, Angela was probably best known for hosting TV shows like Your Home Made Perfect and Robert Wars. She’s also fronted BBC's iconic chat show The One Show since 2015.

And now, a PR expert has claimed that Angela could be back on screens for a brand new role. Speaking exclusively to Daily Star, Rochelle of Rochelle White Agency, said due to her “background” and “personality” she could bag a role on an iconic ITV show.

“I could see her doing guest hosting on shows like This Morning, Loose Women and even shows like Glow Up on BBC,” Rochelle said. She went on: “Because of her previous presenting roles and how she comes across, these types of shows could be a good fit.”

Rochelle added: “She has a personality that works well for daytime TV and even shows that are more specific, due to her background working in fashion and lifestyle publications.”

The expert also noted that Angela’s “eye for fashion and style” would be beneficial to shows that feature those elements.

Rochelle went on: “With the right opportunities she would do really well and make a bigger name for herself. She has had a great platform to showcase herself and her talent and if managed well, could be given various opportunities.”

It comes after Angela broke down in tears as she recalled getting the boot from Strictly. As host Fleur East welcomed the pair of show spin-off It Takes Two, they were shown a video montage of their time on the show as Angela began breaking down in tears and saying she feels the loss "deeply."

Fleur asked Angela if she felt she left the show “on a high” after her Cha Cha Cha to classic hit, I will Survive. But Angela had a different take. “I don’t know if anyone feels they go out on a high, do they? The song is a bit painful to listen to now lets be honest. I will survive feels a bit like salt in the wound considering we didn’t,” she gushed.
