The Crown season six, part one saw Prince Charles (played by Dominic West) and Princess Diana (Elizabeth Debicki) navigating their relationship as divorced parents.
The pair seemed to work better as friends and there was almost a warmth between the couple with Prince Charles saying he hoped they would be better at being divorced parents than when they were married.
However, Diana seemed to make some throwaway comments suggesting she had lost the man she’d loved and he would be a better friend now.

The royal expert added: “They learned a lot from that mistake.”
Koenig suggested this had led to a change in how marriage was viewed in the Royal Family.
