RICHARD EDEN: Good news for Fergie as her ‘golden niece’ Heidi is to wed

SARAH, Duchess of York has enjoyed seeing her daughters, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, get married and have children.

Now, she’s celebrating the engagement of her niece Heidi Luedecke to art consultant Ben Collinson.

‘She is my golden niece whom I love so much,’ Fergie tells me. ‘I’m devoted to lovely Ben and Heidi.’

Her mother, the Duchess’s sister Jane Ferguson, a publicist, gushes: ‘So super-happy for them both.’ She adds, jokingly: ‘Welcome to the madhouse, Ben!’ 

Heidi, who works for the Tate Gallery in London, is the daughter of Jane’s ex-husband, German marketing executive Rainer Luedecke.

Heidi, 27, has shared a selfie with Ben online in which she shows off her impressive sparkler.
