Richie Myler said he is “not asking for approval” over his life choices.
In a candid Instagram post, the 33-year-old sports star broke his silence on his split from his former wife Helen Skelton.
Taking to his stories, he penned: “For clarity. As stated in my previous post, opinions of my life choices/breakdown of my marriage and how I choose to live my life – I am not asking for your approval/sympathy or commentary.
“This is something I have decided to never make a comment on and will never no matter how far I’m pushed.”
Richie claimed that trolls have targeted him by posting images of his home and wished “harmful and disgusting things” on his partner while she was in labour, adding it “will never be acceptable”.

He went on: “From raising awareness of this disgusting platform I have had so many people reach out and say they too have been targeted by those trolls.
“I know by posting this will draw more attention to the site! However, something has to be done now regarding this website and I’ve got to protect my family.”
His post comes just hours after Richie revealed North Yorkshire Police have launched a probe over the online hate.
Richie, who has since gone on to have a fourth child with now girlfriend, took to Instagram to call out the trolls who have been talking about him on the social media website Tattle Life.

The platform brands itself as a commentary website on public business social media accounts, “allowing commentary and critiques of people that choose to monetise their personal life as a business and release it into the public domain”.
It adds that it has a zero-tolerance policy to any content that is abusive, hateful or harmful, and a team of moderators working 24/7 to remove any content that breaks its strict rules, often in minutes.
Richie and Helen split in 2022 and the rugby player has since embarked on a new relationship and has welcomed a new baby.
The former couple were married for over eight years and share three children, including their youngest Elsie, who was born just four months before Helen announced the end of her relationship with Richie.
