‘I had black teeth and a monobrow – now I’m happy,’ says Scarlett Moffatt as she shows off new smile

Former Gogglebox star Scarlett Moffatt has proudly showcased her stunning pearly whites after 'hating' her teeth when she was younger.

The 32-year-old flashed a beaming smile and revealed to fans that she was bullied for her teeth after being hit by a car as a teenager.

Scarlett admitted that her teeth turned black and were left "smashed" following an accident when she was on her bike. This led to other kids teasing her for it, but now the new mum says she's got a smile to be "proud of".

The I'm A Celeb winner opened up about the incident a few years ago and said, "I was on my bike when I was 11 and a car hit me. The nerves had gone, so I had black teeth at the front. So I had black teeth as well as a monobrow, and I was a little bit chubby, and then half my face was on the slide.”

The reality star, who recently gave birth to her first child Jude, has now thanked her dentist on Instagram alongside a series of holiday photos.

Scarlett, who is on a family trip to America, captioned the snap: "I want to say a massive thank you to Queensway Smiles for giving me a smile I'm proud of.

"For so long I'd never show my teeth in photos and now I have baby Jude it's nice that for family photos I don't have to give smiling a big toothy grin a second thought."

Scarlett looked more confident than ever as she posed for an adorable selfie with her partner, Scott Dobinson, 36. As she donned a white linen blouse and a bold red lip, her teeth were dazzling.

The TV favourite was seen enjoying time in the sun with baby Jude, who looked like he was having a ball.

This isn't the first time Scarlett has opened up about her insecurities when it comes to her teeth as back in 2021 she posted an Instagram video to explain why she disliked the gap in her front teeth so much.

She said: "So as a kid, school wasn't really easy. One of the big things I used to get picked on was my teeth because I was in a bike accident when I was little and smashed my two front teeth.

"This unfortunately carried on into adulthood, being in the public eye sometimes isn't fun. Scarlett said earlier that year she couldn't wait to get a new set of teeth because people were "starting to mistake her for Madonna", who is famous for the gap in her front teeth.
