Jamie Redknapp reveals romantic wedding anniversary celebrations with wife Frida

Jamie Redknapp has shared a picture showing his romantic wedding anniversary celebrations with wife Frida Andersson.

The ex football star turned Sky Sports pundit, 50, tied the knot with the Swedish model, 38, in October 2021. And this week the couple marked their second anniversary with a meal at Japanese restaurant Zuma in Knightsbridge, London.

The former Spurs and Liverpool midfielder shared an image of their date to his Instagram page showing a hazelnut dessert, presented on a plate that had ‘Happy Anniversary’ written on it in chocolate sauce. Jamie captioned the snap: “Anniversary lunch with my Frida Redknapp.”

The couple wed at Chelsea Registry Office in an intimate ceremony in October 2021 before a dinner at Scott’s restaurant in Mayfair with friends. Frida was pregnant at the time and has since given birth to the couple’s first child Raphael, one.

Jamie's mother Sandra revealed her thoughts on her daughter-in-law's wedding dress in her book When Harry Met Sandra. In an excerpt published by The Mirror, she said: "Frida looked absolutely beautiful. Her dress was stunning. It was an off-the-shoulder dress and her and her bump looked all nice and neat. It was a classic dress and suited her perfectly."

Sandra and her husband Harry Redknapp were among just 30 guests who witnessed the nuptials. She went on: "I remember thinking about how happy they looked when Jamie and Frida cut their cake. There was a smile between them. It is lovely to see Jamie happy, it is all Harry and I can ask for.”

Jamie and Frida’s anniversary meal came after the couple shared photos of their recent romantic trip to Italy. The pair posed in front of the Colosseum and the Trevi Fountain in photographs uploaded to Instagram.

However, Jamie’s followers were quick to point out that there may have been an ulterior motive for the getaway – as Rome was hosting major golf competition the Ryder Cup at the same time.

Comedian Jack Whitehall joked in the comments: "Romantic getaway is it? Anything else going on in Rome this week?" Another follower added: "Who knew there was a City taking place during the Ryder Cup?!"

Jamie had been married to former Eternal singer Louise Redknapp for 19 years until they split in 2017. The couple share teenage children Charley, 19, and Beau, 14.

Frida, meanwhile, was previously married to American hedge fund boss Jonathan Lourie, with whom she shares four children.

Last month, Louise went public with her new man for the first time – speaking to OK! about finding happiness again with businessman Drew Michael.

Keeping her cards close to her chest, the singer, 48, said: "It’s so difficult with your personal life… it’s all good."
