Deodorant doesn’t cover my stink – then I found a £3.50 hack that changed my life and got rid of my musky smell | The Sun

A WOMAN who has never been able to get rid of her "heavy" smell has found a hack that's changed her life forever.

Kyli explained that she saw a video online of a woman using alcohol to rub her armpits, saying that it "kills the body odour germs", so decided to give it a try herself.

"So naturally, I tried it," she said in a video on her TikTok page.

"I got in the shower, I scrubbed myself real good.

"There's always a residue of like, either a deodorant-y kind of smell on my armpits or some weird smell on my armpits, right?

"Even after I shower and scrub it real good and exfoliate and everything – I can never get rid of that smell.

As a "breastfeeding mama", Kyli said she's used to sweating all the time, and "stinking", but added, "now I don't!"

"So if anybody suffers from stinking armpits, isopropyl alcohol," she concluded.

"Has anyone tried this?" she captioned her video.

People were quick to comment on the clip, with one writing: "Kills bacteria, also tones down sweating."

"You can water down the alcohol a bit," another added.

"Using too high % isn't good from what I remember."

"My daughter sometimes forgets her deodorant and I tell her to rub a little sanitiser to help with the smell in emergencies," a third commented.

"It works!"

Others shared their own remedies for dealing with body odour, with one writing: "I scrub my armpits with antibacterial soap for at least 30 seconds and it washes away the deodorant and everything."

"Try using antibacterial soap!!! Less drying," another added.

"The ordinary glycolic acid toner for everything," a third commented.

"For armpits (literally can go without deodorant just this) scalp exfoliation, strawberry legs etc."

As someone else said: "Using a combo antiperspirant and deodorant also makes the smell worse, just use antiperspirant.

"The smell stopped for me."

While others were more concerned about the fact that Kyli hadn't showered for two days.

"Day two of not showering is crazy!" one wrote.

"Wdym you're on day 2?" another added.

"As a mum and not showering in two days, that’s just wild lol,2 a third insisted.

As someone else wondered: "Not showering? Hold on!"
