WE all know the first rule when it comes to being a wedding dress is to not wear white and upstage the bride.
However, one bride was left shocked when a guest rocked up in a white floor-length gown, but she said she tried to not let it affect her day.
The bride showed a photo posing with the guest at the wedding, and said the woman only did it “for a reaction”.
Taking to Reddit, she shared: “A guest wore a white dress to my wedding.
“In case you’re wondering which one is the bride, I’m on the right.”
People were quick to slam the guest for choosing a dress which could have been mistaken for a bridal style.

The bride responded: “Thank you so much. I just want to make clear that this didn’t ruin my day by any means.
“She was looking for a reaction so why give it to her, she was ignored and almost no one talked to her.
“Me and my husband had a beautiful wedding and we had so much fun with our friends and family we forgot about her.
“This is a funny story now and quite ridiculous so I thought we all can all have a bit of a laugh.”

She also explained more about why the woman had been invited, writing: “The groom is on the far left in the black suit. The teal suit is her boyfriend.
“This is my brother’s wife’s sister and she got invited because our families are close and I was also invited to her wedding (she’s divorced now sadly).”
People were quick to praise her no-nonsense attitude.
