I’m a dog groomer & here are the breeds I wouldn't own…including the common pooch that is hard to train & super anxious | The Sun

A DOG groomer has shared their thoughts on different breeds – including the pooches you don’t want to own.

So if you are debating about getting a dog and aren’t sure which breed to choose – you’ll need to listen up.

According to this animal expert, there's a common pooch that is hard to train and super anxious.

Not only this, but there’s a popular pet that you might think is sweet, but can also be super stubborn too.

Posting on social media, the dog groomer shared their honest thoughts on the breeds you should and shouldn’t own and why.

First of all, the dog expert described Golden Retrievers as “sweethearts”, but then added “unless they’re a byb [backyard breeder], then they might kill you.”

They also said that such dogs are: “Hyper, so hyper.”

When it comes to Yorkshire Terriers, the groomer explained that they can be “kinda unpredictable.”

Not only this, but they claimed that because they are a “working breed, they will kill given the chance.”

Where German Shepherds are concerned, this groomer explained: “So many of these are mixed with something else and end up in shelters.

“Very hard to train. Stop buying them if you’re not gonna put in the work.

“So anxious and dog reactive.”

If you’ve been thinking about getting a Husky, the animal whizz continued: “Same thing if y’all don’t start training and socialising your huskies.

“So anxious and scream nonstop.

“But when they’re sweet it’s hard not to forgive them.

“Big babies but so much hair.”

The dog groomer then got candid on Doodles, as they claimed: “Dogs aren’t even usually the problem, it’s the owners and breeders.

“Bad skin. Bad genetics. Always matted.

“Please stop buying these, I could write an essay on Doodle ethics.”

But things looked up when it came to the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, as the animal whizz noted: “My loves. Never met a bad one.

“So chill, good dogs for people with anxiety and so good with kids.

“Can be prone to some health problems though so shop responsibly from people who are working to better the breed.”

The dog groomer then revealed the breed they would never get – Shibas – as they confirmed: “They’ve grown on me but I’d still never get one.

“Attitude of a cat (they do not give a f**k).

“Can be cute but I wouldn’t recommend it as a family pet, people mostly get them for the look.”

When it comes to Chow Chows, the groomer explained: “Will one-shot you and you won’t see it coming.

“Literal bear.”

You may be surprised to know that Beagles, according to this social media user, often have “Separation anxiety as the dominant gene, even in mixes.”

The groomer then continued: “Very cute though, they will love you.

“Scream on occasion.”

Finally, if you’ve been dreaming of owning a Dachshund, you’ll need to pay attention, as the groomer concluded: “So popular right now.

“The long haired ones are usually more chill for some reason.

“Stubborn but can be very sweet.”

The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @the.canoodler8, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly amassed 394,700 views.

Social media users were keen to agree with the dog groomer and were eager to express this in the comments.

One person said: “Totally agree with the doodle one (even though I have a doodle!)”

Another added: “The beagle one is accurate. Literally bumps into my legs, she's that clingy.”
