I'm an ex primary school teacher & there's a Christmas present we don't want this festive season – it's so awkward | The Sun

IT'S that time of year where parents are racking their brains trying to think of what Christmas present they can buy for their child's teacher.

Well, if you're struggling, then you're in luck…because a former teacher has let mums and dads know what gifts really aren't wanted this festive season.

In a clip posted to TikTok (@primaryfocus), the woman named Natalie begins: "If you've been in the classroom long enough you will have gotten one of these 'gifts' that's not quite the blessing you hoped for.

"Here's three gifts that teachers don't want."

First up on the list of presents teachers would "rather not get" is "anything in a Victoria Secret bag."

She explains: "I don't care that you didn't get them underwear that lotion smells bad and now you have a Victoria's Secret bag on your desk. It's just awkward."

Next up, the former teacher says "surprise treats" are also a big no as they can cause unnecessary disruption to her day.

"Listen, it's cool that you want to get everybody doughnuts but you need to ask ahead when and if the teacher is okay with that, because what it is for us is a giant sugar high from all of our kids and then the sugar crash," she says.

"It's just way too much sugar, especially for the little guys."

And last but not least, Natalie adds: "They don't want your advances. I've had a few dads try to come onto me and it is uncomfortable.
