Inside Harrods' dazzling Christmas shop, with £3k trees & £750 crackers – but you can get £9 penguin ornaments | The Sun

CHRISTMAS is just around the corner, and if you are keen to take your decorations and presents to the next level, Harrods is the only way to go – but be prepared to part with a lot of cash.

Every year, Harrods transforms a section of its world-famous shop into the dazzling “Christmas World”.

Shoppers can expect floor-to-ceiling glittering decorations, a huge array of beautiful gifts and even some quirky toys for your pets.

Let’s face it, you know you’ve made it when your Christmas tree is covered in £30 glitter-encrusted baubles.

If you are looking to splurge this year, you could go all out and pick up their huge £695 festive wreath, which is themed with autumnal pumpkins.

But don’t worry, there was a “bargain” £349 alternative if that one is slightly out of budget.

If you are truly looking to impress your friends and family, why not snap up Harrods’ huge golden soldiers for either side of your front door.

That’s if you can justify the £1,995 cost for just one of the towering ornaments.

When it comes to Christmas crackers, the offering at the top end of the spectrum is a box of six for a whopping £750.

Each cracker includes a £50 voucher and gifts that include perfume, a silk eye mask and a silver card holder.

For those watching the pennies, Harrods do offer a £25 box – but you only get stickers and some classic jokes inside.

One of the most expensive items on display in Christmas World is a jaw-dropping vintage tree that costs £3,200.

Measuring just 18 inches tall, the tree is protected by a glass cover in the shop to keep it looking pristine.

The Christmas grotto not only has a treasure trove of fancy-looking ornaments, but there are also some novelty items thrown in too.

One of the highlights is their food-themed tree accessories, which includes a glitzy Ketchup bottle, burger and even a full English breakfast.

While they would be a fun addition to a tree – you should be aware they will set you back £30 for just one bauble.

One of the cheapest items in the Christmas section are some very cute soft hanging animals, including a £9 penguin.

It is easy to spend hours and hours in the festive section as you certainly do lose track of time when you are wandering around.

Everywhere you turn is a new spectacular display – and while many items are certainly out of our price range, there is no denying that this London institution certainly does lead the pack when it comes to Christmas.
