Primark divides opinion with its new Christmas jumper, as some think they've gone 'too far' | The Sun

IT'S a wardrobe staple when it comes to the Christmas season.

And while there are hundreds of different festive jumpers on the market, Primark is hoping for success with its own branded version.

The teal jumper features a geometric white snowflake pattern, with "PRIMARK" written across the chest.

It also features pictures of the store's famous brown paper bag in a row, along the body and the sleeve.

Natty shared a snap of the jumper on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group on Facebook, writing: "For all you Primarni lovers.

"You know u want one!"

Natty added that at £16, the jumper "is a bargain".

But the majority of people in the comments section admitted they wouldn't be rushing to the discount store to grab one.

"Is that the must have this year?" one wrote.

"Lol – couldn’t pay me enough to wear it!"

"Omg honestly, why?" another questioned.

As a third insisted: "They’ve taken it too far lol."

"I really don’t get how Primark can justify the cost of these as it’s free advertising for them," someone else raged.

"Will be rails full in sales lol!"

"Not at that price, to advertise your shop," another agreed, calling it "tacky".

"If they want me to advertise their name on a jumper, they need to pay me to do it and give me the jumper for free," someone else said.

"More tat from Primark," another grumbled.

"No, just no," someone else commented.

As another wrote: "You would have to pay me £16…..and more to wear that!"

But others admitted they would love to sport one of the jumpers at Christmas.

"100% I need one in my life," one wrote.

"I would love this," another added.

With her friend replying: "I already thought of you and wondered if it was a step too far."

To which she replied: "Never a step too far .. not with primark!"

"Christmas pressie for you," someone else wrote, tagging their pal.

"You love Primark so much why not be a walking advertisement for them!"

"People will still say 'where did you get it from?'" another laughed.
