PICKING the perfect name for your little one is easier said than done sometimes.
Do you go the classic route with names like Charlotte and Oliver, or take a gamble on something a bit more out there?
Without even realising it, a lot of parents end up picking the most popular names for that year, but how much does your kid's name effect their personality?
This Morning physiologist Emma Kenny spoke to Fabulous to explain what the name you choose could reveal about your tot as they grow up.

Olivia
"Olivia is like that chic black dress that never goes out of style," Emma says.

This "elegant and classic" name means your little will "grow up to be graceful yet strong-willed.

Noah
This is a popular name for a very good reason, "Noah’s are the calm amidst the storm," Emma says.
Not only are Noah's reliable and loyal, but you can sleep easy knowing they'll be a well-rounded adult.

Emma
You might go for Emma if you want something a bit cooler than the classic Emily, and it's a great choice for little girls – but you shouldn't underestimate them.

Amelia
"Named after icons like Amelia Earhart, these kiddos are fierce trailblazers," Emma says.
These little girls are naturally "independent and curious," and will happily create their own world.
But one thing's for sure, Amelia will always find adventure in life, even if they don't travel much.
Oliver
Oliver is a great choice expecting parents, Liam's are "British charm bottled up in five letters," Emma says.
They're "quick-witted, cheeky, and eternally optimistic."
Although boys with this name are often hard to calm down, there is much more to them than their endless energy – they've got plenty of brains too. the unexpected peacemaker.
Sophia
This name has been topping baby name lists for years now, and for good reason.
"Sophia’s are the epitome of grace and mystery. Sophia’s have an innate wisdom with a dash of elegance.

Elijah
Children and adults with this and name "exude compassion and depth, they’re the thinkers, the philosophers of the playground," Emma says.
They're the most likely to off help to those in need and spend their free time thinking about the big questions in life.
Plus, their inspiring spirit even rubs off on others, so this is a great name for a younger sibling.
Ava
"Ava’s are born leaders, and are effortlessly confident and charismatic.
If you choose this name for your daughter then she’s destined to shine bright, captivating everyone with her blend of beauty and strength," the phycologist says.
Mateo
If you want to add some energy into your life, naming your little on Mateo is a surefire way to do that.
Emma says: "This one’s got fire! With Latin origins, Mateo’s are a passionate bunch.
"Vibrant and full of zest, your Mateo will be the life of the party. He’s the kid with boundless enthusiasm, ready to take on the world with a salsa step."
Charlotte
Parents who pick this name for their daughter can expect to have a "truly regal" little one on their hands.
"Charlottes are poised, polished, and full of heart.
"With an innate sense of responsibility, she might just grow up to be the voice of reason with a sprinkle of fairy-tale magic," Emma explains.
Lucas
This is a common name in countries across the globe, and there's a very good reason why.

Name your son Lucas and you can expect to have creative little one with loads ofimagination.
