Ronnie O'Sullivan says 'I'll be bent over and given a good seeing too' over snooker row as he threatens career change | The Sun

RONNIE O’SULLIVAN reckons he’ll be “bent over and given a good seeing to” in his row with snooker chiefs.

The seven-time world champion, 47, is locked in a feud with the World Snooker Tour over playing in China.

Five stars were threatened with punishment after snubbing the Northern Ireland Open for an exhibition event in Macau, which has since been moved to December.

But O’Sullivan has been left fuming over the threats of punishment for playing in China too much.

And he now faces disciplinary action for reportedly making disparaging comments.

O’Sullivan reckons he’s in line for a big telling off – and it could see him quit snooker for good.

He said: “It’s difficult because I’ve got a big thing coming up soon.

“They’re going to give me a good bending over and a good seeing to, which I’m going to have to take on the chin.”

Speaking on Wednesday, O’Sullivan added: “I know that they’re going to throw the book at me.

“I can’t speak out. I’ve accepted that. So that’s the situation that I’m in. I’m under disciplinary.”

But the snooker legend remains unhappy that players face being unable to play as much as they want in China.

He added: “I have no option. If I can’t go out and do what I need to do – which is play a lot in China – then I won’t even play again.

“We are at a sort of crossroads now. There’s not enough here for me in the UK to justify the effort that I put in.

“When I go to China I play in great venues, great crowds, great prize money. And I love it.

“If that gets to the point where I’m not able to do that or I’m not allowed to do that, then I probably won’t play.

“I’ll probably go and play Chinese 8 ball because I still want to play snooker. I still want a cue in my hand.”
