Rugby World Cup 2023: Fixtures, results and pools as England take on Argentina after France vs New Zealand opener | The Sun

THE Rugby World Cup is back on Friday with hosts France taking on New Zealand in a tasty opener.

Scott Robertson's side are eyeing a record-breaking fourth Webb Ellis Cup and the All Blacks are one of the tournament favourites heading into the competition.

England's preparations for the World Cup haven't gone to plan with a recent 30-22 defeat to Fiji the biggest shock.

It was the first time the Islanders had beaten Red Rose in eight meetings as Steve Borthwick's side currently sit eighth in the global rankings.

Despite struggling in their warm-up games, England will be eyeing up their first Ruby World Cup triumph since 2003.
