Audrey Roberts (Sue Nicholls) was left surprised in recent Coronation Street scenes when Stephen Reid (Todd Boyce) announced his new living arrangements.
With Stephen having been kicked out of the flat he shared with ex-partner Elaine (Paula Wilcox), Audrey was quick to offer him a room at her place.
However, she was surprised when he revealed that he had already sorted out his lodgings.
When he revealed that he was moving in with new partner Jenny Connor ( Sally Ann Matthews), Audrey expressed her concerns that things may be moving too fast, though Stephen assured her that he was only staying in the B&B room.
She was quick to confirm that she thought Jenny was a much better match for him than Elaine had been, and got particularly excited when he revealed Jenny’s plan to whisk him away on holiday.

While Audrey was feeling positive about Stephen’s future, there was one person who seemed concerned about Jenny’s generosity.
It wasn’t long before Audrey had made her way over to the pub and was talking to Jenny about her trip away with Stephen, much to the horror of Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan).
She was quick to express her concerns that Jenny was being fleeced by her new man, though Jenny wouldn’t hear of it.
Later, when Stephen popped by the Rovers to reveal that he would likely be moving in sooner than expected, Daisy continued to make her feelings known.
When Jenny assured her that they had the space, Daisy pointed out that it wasn’t the space she was worried about, but the speed at which things were moving between Stephen and Jenny.
Will Daisy’s hesitations prove to be valid, or will Stephen end up being the perfect houseguest?
With his history of drugging his employer and murdering three acquaintances, we think we may already know the answer to that one…
