Bobby Brazier blames dad Jeff as he shares Strictly Come Dancing regret

Bobby Brazier shares he’s never watched Strictly before

Bobby Brazier blamed his father Jeff Brazier for not having watched Strictly Come Dancing before during an interview on Tuesday’s It Takes Two.

Host Fleur East began: “Before we get stuck in we need to discuss something very, very serious.

“Bobby, you’ve never watched Strictly. Explain yourself!”

The EastEnders theme tune started playing as Bobby covered his hands with his face in embarrassment.

The 20-year-old replied: “I don’t know what to say,” to which Fleur probed. “How has this happened?”

He continued: “I’ve never owned a TV, that’s it. It’s always been the punishment at home that you are not allowed to watch TV.

“So I guess I never had an attachment to watching telly growing up.

“Look, it’s my dad’s fault,” the Strictly star concluded.

Bobby’s dad proudly supported him during his Strictly Come Dancing debut on Saturday evening.

The actor and his pro partner were awarded a score of 29 from the judges for their Foxtrot.

Betfair spokesperson Sam Rosbottom shared of former EastEnders’ star Nigel Harman: “Nigel Harman wasn’t just the most popular dancer with the judges on night one of Strictly, he was also very popular with punters following a top score of 32 and is now 10/3 to win the show having been 6/1 before taking to the ballroom floor – only 9/4 favourite Bobby Brazier is ahead of him in the betting.

“Meanwhile, punters have shied away from supporting Layton Williams, who is now 9/1 having been 4/1 and Eddie Kadi has also drifted to 20/1 from 10/1, but there’s still a long way to go and the betting for this series remains very open.”

Strictly Come Dancing continues on Saturday on BBC One.
