Coronation Street star Ben Price has appeared to snub a former co-star in a rather awkward moment – despite sharing some very dramatic scenes.
The actor plays Nick Tilsley on the long-running soap – making his debut back in 2009. And it’s fair to say he’s been involved in several dramatic storylines.
As a long-running cast member, Ben has seen a ton of characters come and go over the years. But it seems there is one face that he has appeared to have completely forgotten about.

Away from the cobbles, Ben hosts the podcast On The Sofa. The soap star fronts the series alongside Corrie cast members Colson Smith, who plays Craig Tinker, and Jack P Shepherd, who plays David Platt.
In a new episode, the trio spoke about the top five Coronation Street characters they would like to spend Christmas with. But things took an awkward turn.
Replying to the question, and up first, Colson said: “Robert Preston.” But as quick as a flash, Ben pulled a face and quipped: “Who?!”
Confirming the actor who played Robert, Colson said: “Tristan.” He then referenced the character’s job on the cobbles and said: “Chef!”
Colson explained: “Because he’s a chef.” However Ben was still stumped and he wasn’t having any of it.
“Out of all the classic Corrie characters you picked who?!” he fumed. Talking about his reason for his decision, soap star Colson said: “He’s a chef, he can cook the dinner.” Ben then replied: “You’ve got 60 years of incredibly iconic characters…”
Later on, Colson brought up Robert again as a character he would like to spend Christmas with. But Ben shut him down and said: “No!”
Tristan hasn't been on the soap in a few years, however he and Ben shared some dramatic scenes. In one, Ben's character Nick even punched Robert, but it clearly didn't leave a lasting impression.
Robert Preston was played by Tristan Gemmill. He first appeared in 2015 but left in 2019 when love rat Robert was killed off on Christmas Day.
At the time, Robert was in a relationship with Michelle Connor, played by Kym Marsh, but they were going through some struggles. On their wedding day, his cheating and love child was exposed, and they never ended up tying the knot.

Robert was later shot by accident during a terrifying incident at the Rovers. What’s more, he never got to meet his son.
Tristan wasn't actually the first actor to play Robert, who was introduced as Tracy Barlow's first husband in 1996. From 1996 to 2003, Robert was played by Julian Kay, but was reintroduced in 2015 with Tristan in the role.
