Heartstopper stars tease season two of Netflix series

Heartstopper will return for a third season and fans of the book series are already getting excited over what’s been hinted at.
The teenage romantic comedy-drama made a comeback for season two last month, continuing to follow Nick (played by Kit Connor) and Charlie’s (Joe Locke) love story.
In the first series, the two were dancing between the lines of friendship and romance until they couldn’t deny their chemistry any longer and admitted their feelings.
Season two then saw them as a couple but with Nick still unable to come out to his loved ones, although he had Charlie’s support throughout.
Thankfully, Netflix didn’t leave fans hanging for very long in regards to the future of Heartstopper, confirming there would be a third season on the way.

Netflix has since taken to X, formerly known as Twitter, to tease that work is well underway on the new episodes.
Those behind the streamer shared a picture of the title of Heartstopper season three’s opening episode script.
Its description simply reads: “Heartstopper season three. Episode one. Love.
“That’s all we can tell you for now – but we’ll be back, as will Nick and Charlie.”

Given the episode’s title, this has got fans of the Alice Oseman book series anticipating it’s going to feature a key moment from the novels.
Taking to X, one viewer excitedly wrote: “Does this mean we get *that” scene in episode one??!!! Book fans know.”
Another said: “Ahhh tell me it’s the scene I think it is”, while a third added: “I’m not prepared for this moment, it’s going to be very exciting.”
Going by this teaser as well, it seems work has started on Heartstopper season three.
It took more than a year between series one and two and the wait is likely to be around just as long, especially with the cast now working on other projects as well.
Locke has spent a lot of time filming Marvel’s Agatha: Coven of Chaos, whereas Connor has been busy on the horror One of Us as well as A Cuban Girl’s Guide to Tea and Tomorrow.
Actress Yasmin Finney, who is behind Elle, will also be in the next season of Doctor Who so there has been plenty of work to keep them all busy.
