A FORMER I'm a Celebrity star was forced to cancel a gig after collapsing at home and being rushed to hospital.

Shappi Khorsandi, who was a campmate in the 2017 series of I'm a Celebrity, took to Twitter to update fans after having to miss her appearance at the Cheltenham Literature Festival.

She wrote: "I had a funny turn this morning and ended up in an A&E with a very disappointing vending machine.

"Gutted I had to cancel this. Forgive me if you were coming."

Shappi, 50, later explained her "funny turn" was due to allergies.

One fan replied to her message: "Hope you’re feeling brighter. Sending best wishes xx."
