The final dances have been performed and the votes have been tallied, and after 11 weeks of competition, a new Dancing With the Stars winner has been crowned.

Xochitl Gomez and Val Chmerkovskiy were crowned the official winners of the ABC show after receiving the highest combined total of viewer votes and judges’ scores.

They were joined at the end of the show by Jason and Daniella, who placed second on the US version of Strictly Come Dancing.

Alyson and Sasha, Charity and Artem and Ariana and Pasha had been previously announced in fifth, fourth and third place.

After their names were called, Xochitl got emotional and broke down in tears as she and Val were given the inaugural Len Goodman trophy and showered with confetti before being lifted by their fellow cast members to celebrate their win.

Her win makes Xochitl the first celeb to lift the new trophy, named after the iconic Strictly and DWTS judge who died in April 2023.

Prior to their win, the pair danced a redemption Foxtrot to Katy Perry’s Unconditionally, earning 30 out of 30 from the judges.

They then danced in the highly-anticipated freestyle routine with an energetic vibe set to Que Calor by District 78.

That routine earned them another 30 points from the judges, marking their fourth perfect score.

In the end, before viewer votes were factored in, they landed first on the judges’ leaderboard when their scores from tonight and the semifinals were factored together.
