Sunday Brunch viewers unimpressed by indoor fireworks
Sunday Brunch viewers were left unimpressed when a segment on the Channel 4 show which featured indoor fireworks going off with a whimper rather than a bang.
In honour of bonfire night, presenters Tim Lovejoy and Simon Rimmer had announced that they were going to have a firework display in the studio.
They assured everyone that everything they were using had been cleared for indoor use as they all donned safety goggles.
In dramatic scenes, Tim was warned to stand as far back as possible as he lit a firework while guests, including singer James Blunt and married podcasters Spencer Matthews and Vogue Williams, eagerly awaited the display.
The first couple lit up akin to large sparklers rather than fireworks leading Vogue to comment at one point, “is that it?”.
However, the final firework, called Snakes Alive, left a lot to be desired as rather than it sparking, it seemed to unfurl into an elongated shape that resembled faeces.

The moment didn’t go unnoticed by viewers who found the whole thing highly amusing.
Many compared the firework to a dog turd on the platform X, formerly known as Twitter.
A user with the handle @Borisnose2 quipped: “Ive seen little jack russells curl out more impressive ones on my morning walk tbh #sundaybrunch.” (sic)
@iCrowby mused: “Ah yes the classic turd indoor firework. I remember those from the 80s #SundayBrunch.”(sic)
