Widow of French serial killer dubbed Ogre of the Ardennes who murdered British student jailed for life | The Sun

THE ex-wife of a serial killer who murdered a British student has been jailed for life.

Monique Olivier, 75, was convicted of assisting Michel Fourniret in the rape and murder of two young women in France.


She helped the brute by reassuring the pair it was safe to enter his van before they were attacked.

The victims included Joanna Parrish in 1990.

Joanna, 20, of Gloucestershire had placed an ad in a paper offeringEnglish lessons and Fourniret took up the offer.

He dumped her body in a river near Auxerre.

Olivier was also convicted by a French court of helping to kidnap a girl aged nine in 2003.

The child was never found.

Fourniret was convicted of killing eight women but died aged 79 in 2021.

Olivier must serve a minimum of 20 years.
