The Repair Shop star Jay Blades, 53, has announced the sad news that his father-in-law John has died aged 77.
Taking to his Instagram page on Wednesday, the presenter shared a picture of his wife’s dad as he asked fans for their condolences.
In view of his 180,000 followers, he wrote: “THOUGHT OF THE DAY. Yesterday my wife @lisamariezbozen & sister in-law @teresazbozen said goodbye to their Dad.
“Please join me in offering condolences to the Family. John Zbozen – Rest In Peace.”
Many of Jay’s fans paid their respects in the comments section, as one wrote: “Sorry to hear this sad news @lisamariezbozen look after yourself xx.”

A second commented: “Hope all the family are doing OK… very sad time… sending love.”
“Very sorry to hear your sad news @lisamariezbozen take care x,” a third added.
Lisa also shared a heartbreaking tribute to her father on her page which prompted many fans to send their support.
As part of her post, she said she’ll miss her dad “laughing uncontrablly over nothing” and longed for “one more cuddle”.
“You were so loved,” Lisa added. “I miss you already.”

Jay became John’s official son-in-law last year when he and Lisa tied the knot in Barbados last year.
The couple exchanged vows in front of 15 guests in the grounds of a beachfront villa, a day he described as “perfect”.
Speaking to Hello Magazine!, Jay added: “We had our closest family there, the weather held out and everything worked out so well.”
The furniture restorer also admitted to shedding a tear at the ceremony, in a rare emotional moment for him.
Lisa added: “Once you get to a certain age, you realise what’s actually important on the day – and that is having the people around you that love you for who you are. So we made the day our day.”
The couple tend to keep their relationship away from the public eye, but in 2021 made an exception to announce they were engaged.
At the time, Jay gave fans a glimpse of the sparkly ring he designed for Lisa, which certainly garnered attention.
The Repair Shop star was previously married to his first wife Jade, who he met while studying at university. Together, they share a daughter named Zola.
