Greenwich Police Sergeant Brent Reeves told the publication the worried callers were looking to make sure she was doing okay and wasn’t being forced by her mom to make content and keep up her appearance.
However, Reeves insists this was untrue, saying he had known the vlogger for more than a decade and had a good relationship with her.
According to the sergeant, the pair had a code to signal if Eugenia needed help, revealing she placed an object in her videos so he knew she was okay.
If the object was not there, the police officer said he would know she needed help.
The sergeant added she had always had a skinny frame, and she was of sound mind when he had spoken to her.
He reportedly added they couldn’t really make her eat more if she was at the size that made her comfortable.
Reeves also told the outlet that the YouTuber did eat and ‘especially likes’ chicken sandwiches.
DailyMail.com have contacted the Greenwich Police Department for comment.

Under her recent videos, fans have condemned her for continuing to post, many accusing her of celebrating her emaciated body and mocking the concern surrounding her health.
‘I’m done,’ one user declared. ‘There are people who are dying and have no choice. You are choosing to be like this. I wish you the best, but this is infuriating.’
‘It’s disgusting how she knows what she’s doing and almost joking about it,’ another agreed.
‘This isn’t funny. It’s a downright mockery, and pro-ana to the max. How you are even allowed to post this content is beyond me. You don’t care,’ a third person declared.
Eugenia first caused a wave of upset back in 2013 when she began posting clips of her physique on the platform where she built up a loyal fanbase with her beauty tutorials.
Eugenia’s followers first begged her to seek help in 2016 and even started a petition to ban her from YouTube – claiming that she was promoting anorexia.
At the time, she released a statement that read: ‘Some people are saying I’m like a bad influence on girls. I just want you guys to know like I have seriously never have tried to be a bad influence on YouTube or to influence anyone badly. I would never want to do that.
‘I have never told anyone to try to like lose weight or to try to like change the way they look or to look like me.’
More than 18,000 people signed a Change.org petition calling for her to be temporarily banned from YouTube and seek medical help.
‘Eugenia Cooney has a serious medical condition and needs to seek help. She has been influencing her viewers by her serious underweight condition,’ it said.
‘She may not be intentionally influencing her viewers but showing 50 per cent of her body in videos and pictures are not helping girls with anorexia or any eating disorder,’ administrator Lynn Cloud said.
